The Ludhiana police on Saturday called upon actress Sunny Leone and a condom manufacturing company over an advertisement on the complaint of NGO Raksha Jyoti Foundation. The NGO alleged that the TV commercial starring Leone is “spreading vulgarity”.
The NGO filed a criminal complaint with Police Commissioner Paramraj Singh Umranangal on Wednesday following which an inquiry was marked to Assistant Commissioner of Police (traffic) Richa Agnihotri.

The ACP has called upon the actress, the company and the advertising agency to record their statements with the police. Speaking to The Indian Express, the ACP said that they have been asked to be present in the police station on September 21.
Ashwani Behl, national president of the NGO in his complaint said that advertisements starring Leone are promoting obscenity in society.
