For the first time ever, Sunny Leone will be seen in an out-and-out comedy film. She plays Laila Lele, a Maharashtrian girl in Milap Zaveri’s sex comedy that has Tusshar in the role of Sunny Kele. Mastizaade went on floors in Mumbai on September 7 in a Mumbai studio.
Talking about the film Zaveri said that when he was riding on the crazy success of Grand Masti, he was approached by PNC (Pritish Nandy Communications Ltd) with this film as they believed that ‘he is very good with the genre’ and he agreed to do it. Talking about casting Sunny Leone, Zaveri, who had earlier made Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai with Riteish Deshmukh and Jacqueline Fernandez, and has penned scripts for films like Grand Masti, Houseful, etc. says, “Sunny is a big star today with both her films, Jism 2 and Ragini MMS 2 being heroine-oriented subjects and doing very well at the box-office. Tusshar is phenomenal in comedy and has been successful in the genre and casting him was a perfect idea.”
He adds, “Sunny loved the script when she read it and found it really funny. No one has ever made her do comedy. It is a glamorous role yet quite hilarious,” says Zaveri who plans to complete one schedule by the end of September. “Most of the film will be shot abroad and we are yet to decide the location. I plan to complete the entire shoot by end of this year and will release it next year,” he lets us know.
Tusshar was unavailable for comment but a couple of days back, when contacted, for another story, the actor had confirmed that no one has opted out of the third installment of his sex comedy Kya Kool Hai Hum.
While the original 2005 movie had Riteish Deshmukh and Tusshar in lead roles and was a major hit, its sequel also starring Deshmukh and Tusshar did average business. According to a report, in the third franchise Aftab Shivdasani has replaced Deshmukh who is busy with other projects. “ It’s not true at all. Don’t know who the other guy is, and no one has opted out of the film,” Tusshar had said.
After a 30 day schedule in Rajasthan, Sunny Leone and Jay Bhanushali are all set to shoot for the second schedule of the dance musical, Leela. The team will complete a seven day schedule in Mumbai this month. Leone who is said to be playing a princess in the film trained extensively in the basic folk and traditional Bollywood dance. Leela is directed by Bobby Khan who makes his directorial debut with the film and is produced by his brother choreographer Ahmed Khan.
She may be known more as a sex symbol and an item girl, but Sunny Leone has now landed a role which will explore the actress in her. The film is titled Beiman Love, and Leone will be seen as a contemporary woman in the emotional love story.
“We are trying to show the modern woman of today and her progress. Sunny plays a rebellious girl who, through grit and strong determination, changes the course of her life. In the first half, she will be seen as a simple, innocent and bubbly senior business executive who works for a jewellery house. For this she will sport a common girl look. In the second half, she becomes a business tycoon and will be seen as more mature and focussed. On a different trip altogether, Sunny will be shown as a girl who is determined to make it big. Here she will sport a high-flying business woman look. The film will talk about how women today give more importance to their careers, while love and marriage take a backseat. So there’s more of acting for Sunny this time round,” says the film’s writer- director- producer Rajeev Chaudhuri, who has earlier produced television shows. As for the leading man, it will most likely be Akshay Oberoi who was last seen in Pizza 3D.
“We have met and spoken to him and he has liked the story, but we have not signed him as yet. But, in all probability, he is on board,” said Chaudhuri who will start shooting for the film in December in Mumbai. He hopes to wrap it up by February-March and release the film in July next year.
Sunny Leone’s next film Mastizaade, which the porn star turned actress recently started shooting for, has been in the news since it went on floor. Now we hear that the producers of the film, Pritish Nandy Communication, are planning on selling the distribution rights for a whopping Rs. 32 crores.
The sale comes as a surprise since Mastizaade that recently went on floor has completed only 15 days of shooting with a major part of the film yet to be shot. Interestingly though, while the makers have approached several big names in distribution and studios, they are yet to receive reverts. Talking about it, Rongita Nandy, says, “Yes we are looking out for distributors for the film, but I cannot talk about the price for the same. As for not receiving a revert, we are not so concerned since we are in no hurry to lock a distributor, as we are looking at releasing the film only in 2015. ”
Said to be a sex comedy, Mastizaade in addition to Sunny Leone, will also feature Tusshar Kapoor and Vir Das. Written and directed by Milap Zaveri, the film is produced by Pritish Nandy.
Former adult film star turned Bollywood actress Sunny Leone is on cloud 9 as the actress was pampered with an expensive gift from husband Daniel Weber.
The actress, who was super excited to receive a Maserati car from her husband as a surprise gift, took to Twitter to share her happiness with her fans.
“Maserati b******!! My new car!! Thank you @danielweber99 for gifting me the sickest car ever!!” tweeted Sunny Leone.

Sunny Leone, who entered Bollywood with ‘Jism 2’, is riding high on her successful innings in Bollywood. Last seen in ‘Ragini MMS 2′, Sunny Leone is currently enjoying her much-needed vacation in US with her friends and family.
Sunny Leone was shooting for Bollywood sex comedy, ‘Mastizaade’ along with Tusshar Kapoor and Vir Das before heading to US. ‘Jackpot’ actress will be seen playing a double role in the film, named Lily Lele and Laila Lele. The film’s next shooting schedule will be held in Thailand. ‘Mastizaade’ is written and directed by Milap Zaveri produced by Pritish Nandy.
Sunny Leone will also be seen in ‘Tina and Lolo’ along with Karishma Tanna soon. ‘Tina and Lolo’ is an out-and-out action film and requires both Sunny Leonne and Karishma Tanna to indulge in some heavy duty stunts.
Filmmaker Bobby Khan has roped in adult star Sunny Leone for his “Leela” and says his directorial debut is a clean family drama, but adds that the actress’ glamour quotient will be high and he would try for an U/A certificate for the movie.
“The script of the film is very strong and it’s a clean family drama, but we do understand that since Sunny is part of the project, there is a lot of expectation from the audience, so I can’t cheat my audience,” Bobby told IANS.
The actress had scorched the screen with her bold avatar in “Ragini MMS 2” and “Jism 2”.
“All I can say is though it is a family drama, Sunny’s glamour quotient will be high in the film. There are a few scenes in the film which require a little boldness, but we have shot it subtly and not shown it over the top.
“As a director I will try my best to fight and get a U/A certificate for the film, so let’s see,” he added.
The film has been widely shot in Rajasthan.
Talking about Sunny’s look in the film, Bobby said: “Sunny plays three characters in the film, so she has three different looks. I can assure you that Sunny will be seen in a never-seen-before avatar on the celluloid. I have tried to make her look like a Bollywood heroine and I hope the audience accepts it.”
Adult movie star and actress Sunny Leone, who is making her Telugu debut with ‘Current Theega’, has impressed everybody with her professionalism, says the film’s director G. Nageshwar Reddy.
“She was extremely punctual and professional. We were all surprised that she maintained professional attitude on sets throughout the course of the shoot,” Reddy told IANS.
Sunny plays a cameo of a school teacher in the film, which is the official remake of Tamil hit ‘Varutha Padatha Valibar Sangam’. While Sunny will be essaying her role in a traditional avatar, the makers have, however, included a special song featuring the Indo-Canadian actress.
Paired with actor Manchu Manoj, ‘Current Theega’ also stars Jagapathi Babu and Rakul Preet Singh in important roles.
The film is slated for Oct 31 release.
‘Bigg Boss’ does everything in style, be it instigating fights among the contestants, or celebrating Diwali with a difference. This Diwali the ultimate firecracker is going to enter the Bigg Boss house. This cracker of a person is the famous British porn star Shanti Dynamite.
Shanti Dynamite, who will be making her Bollywood debut soon in Ikram Akhtar’s directorial venture, will be the second wild card entry in the house after singer Ali Quli Mirza.
In earlier seasons too, Hollywood hottie Pamela Anderson and porn star Sunny Leone stayed in the house and garnered a lot of attention. Sunny Leone, particularly, went ahead to feature in Bollywood movies and has made a name for herself.
Shanti Dynamite, who is also looking to carve a niche in Bollywood for herself, would also be hoping for such a turn-around in fates and some exemplary ventures in Bollywood. It remains to be seen how far she will go amidst the chaos that are already created in the house currently and how much attention she gathers – of filmmakers and of audiences.
The fun and frolic on the set of ‘Mastizaade’ in Pattaya will be missed, says actress Sunny Leone.
“For the 1st time in Bollywood I am not looking forward 2 a schedule ending and going back to Mumbai. thanks @MastizaadeFilm @RangitaNandy @zmilap,” Sunny tweeted.
The film’s team also had a schedule wrap party.
A sex comedy, ‘Mastizaade’ is being directed by Milap Zaveri, and it also stars Tushar Kapoor and Vir Das.
Sunny Leone is slowly and steadily gaining ground in the film industry playing lead roles in films like Leela, Beimaan Love and Mastizaade. And now the actress has been signed to play the protagonist in One Night Stand. The film will be helmed by director Anthony D’Souza’s wife, Jasmine. The director-to-be has been involved with D’Souza for projects like Blue as a writer and creative director. She has also modelled for some endorsements like Breeze, Sunsilk, Nescafe among others and was also a television host (Josh, Food Food).
“But I was always more interested to be behind the camera, rather than in front of it, as it’s more challenging and interesting. The concept of One Night Stand on gender inequality where sex is concerned was mine, but it has been written by Bhavani Iyer (Black, Guzarish, Lootera). Bhavani was the right choice because I didn’t want the film to become sleazy. It’s a story that needs to be told and sex need not be highlighted,” said D’Souza.
Choosing Sunny was an easy choice, according to D’Souza. “If you know the real Sunny, you will know how different she is from how she is portrayed on screen, and I think that was the gem of the story. People really don’t know who Sunny is personally. Just because of having been a porn star, people are very biased towards everything she does. In reality she is a perfect person, a perfect wife. Does sex that defines a person, and not what they do otherwise? If a woman is involved in a one night stand, she is labelled as a bad person, but if a man does the same, he is a stud.” When asked about Sunny’s role in the film and her response to it, Jasmine narrated, “Sunny was very excited when she read the script and since it was from a woman’s point of view, she knew it would be something sensitive. I would describe her character as an independent woman of today who is smart, beautiful knows what she wants and balances all aspects of her life beautifully,” she said.
The other characters are still being cast and hopefully the film will go on the floors this December. “There are certain portions which are based abroad, but a majority of the film happens in and around Mumbai.”
The film will be produced by Tutu Sharma and Sultan Khan who is presently involved with Welcome Back.
Mamta Kulkarni, the diva of the 90s, recently ran into controversy regarding the alleged drug cartel bust in Kenya. The actress is now again in news, as photographer Jayesh Sheth has announced plans of making a film inspired by her.
And according to a report published in mid-day.com, actress Sunny Leone will be seen playing Mamta in the movie.
“Sunny came to my mind as she bears great resemblance to Mamta — a sensuous body with an innocent face. But now it’s too early to say anything, at least till the time I finish writing the script. I have some other names in mind, but Sunny comes closest to Mamta,” says Sheth.
The original script, reportedly, was about a struggling actress, who makes it big and then fades into oblivion. But after the recent reports about the actress, Jayesh Sheth is trying to accommodate certain changes in the climax.
However, Sunny Leone has denied the speculations. The movie is expected to roll by early next year.
The Google India top searches list for 2014 is out and it has two big learnings for the country. One, we as a country still search for URLs instead of typing them directly on the address bar and two, despite the appeal of BJP star campaigner turned Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we are still searching more for Sunny Leone.
The Google Year in Search offers a unique perspective on the year’s biggest interests, major events, and hot searches that ruled the web in India. 2014 was the year that underlined that an online presence matters if you are a prime ministerial candidate, a political party or the local dhaba. So it was no surprise that the term Elections 2014 topped Google India’s trending lists this year.
However, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was just the second most searched personalities this year, coming behind of Bollywood import Sunny Leone but ahead of Bollywood export Salman Khan. Strangely, Leone does not find a place is most searched female actors in Bollywood.
The top searches across categories were all for websites, leading with IRCTC and Flipkart, showing that there is something intrinsically wrong with the way we search. These are all destinations that can be reached without any help from Google or any other search engine.
As expected topping the trending searches were sports tournaments such as FIFA World Cup 2014, Indian Premier League 2014 and even the iPhone 6, which most of us tend to write off as too expensive to trend anywhere in India. Cricket is second only to Bollywood in trending searches. A Google release said the death of Sunanda Pushkar and the unsolved mystery of Malaysia Airlines 370 also generated search curiosity.
Rajan Anandan, Managing Director, Google India, said the findings of Google’s Year in Search is a clear testimony of India’s growing interest in issues of national importance.
“The 2014 Lok Sabha elections pointed to the power of digital media and also to the unprecedented demand for information. These elections were fought as much on India’s dusty plains as it was on digital platforms, including social media such as Google Hangouts and YouTube. We’ve seen an exponential increase in the number of Internet searches this year, not just on desktops but also smartphones, a trend that is reflective of India’s growing digital emergence as the next billion Indians begin to embrace the power of the Internet,” he said.
The big surprise seems to be thriller Ragini MMS 2 emerging as the most searched-for movie. Maybe, we have Leone to thank for that as well.
Salman Khan is famous for his generosity and how he helps the newcomers grow in the Indian Film Industry. Having helped many an actress – the likes of Katrina Kaif, Sonakshi Sinha and Zarine Khan – establish themselves in Bollywood, Salman has never even shied away from expressing his affection for the lovely ladies.
One of the successes that belong to the list is actress Sunny Leone. She started off as a ‘Bigg Boss’ housemate in the fifth season of the show and was noticed by Mahesh Bhatt, who then cast her in ‘Jism 2’. She then acted and earned praise in movies like ‘Jackpot’ and ‘Ragini MMS 2’.
In an interview to BollywoodHungama.com, Sunny Leone expresses her gratitude towards the ‘Dabangg’ Khan and says that she is in the industry due to him. She quotes, “To the dashing Salman (Khan) you are one of the reasons I am here today. On my last day of Bigg Boss 5 you wished me luck in Bollywood and because of your good wishes from the start it has given me strength to move forward. One day maybe my dream of working with you will come true and until then I will always be watching your movies. God Bless!”
Salman Khan is said to have appreciated Sunny Leone‘s mental strength during her stay in the Bigg Boss house and also motivated her for her Bollywood stint.
Sunny Leone has been adjudged as the most searched celebrity on Google for a consecutive second time. Expressing her happiness over this, she says, “I am happy that people are interested in me and my work. My strength to keep pushing forward comes from numbers and all I want to do is just work more and more to beat these numbers. I won’t stop till I drop.”
Sunny Leone, who has the hit ‘Ragini MMS 2’ to her name, is currently shooting for the upcoming ‘Mastizaade’ also starring Ram Kapoor.

The internet has taken the pain out of the New Year — Google and Facebook have shouldered the burden of producing those snippety, snapshotty little year-end roundups of the year’s news, which is all that the drowsily cockeyed reader can make sense of on the morning of January 1. Google reports that more Indians sought Sunny Leone than Narendra Modi, leaving Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone trailing after. We have been practical and sensible in other matters, being more interested in IRCTC’s rail ticket booking service than in Flipkart and Snapdeal, and showing more interest in the general election than in the iPhone 6.
Tracking Google’s searches reveals an accurate image of reality. Searches mapped to terrain have followed the spread of infectious diseases almost in real time. Patterns of searches for flu remedies reveal the infection arriving in a city well before its medical services report unusual numbers of patients. But Facebook, being social, grades events according to the volume of discussions generated. In 2014, the FIFA World Cup triggered the most conversations. Ebola, the passing of Robin Williams, the ice bucket challenge and Malaysia Airlines figured prominently.
But when you see that the defeat of the Denver Broncos at the hands of the Seattle Seahawks is just as prominent, you have to wonder if the internet has actually annihilated geography, or merely violated it. Another oddity: race relations in Missouri gets the importance it deserves but a death in New York City, which also triggered protests, does not seem to figure. And though India is an incredibly important market for Facebook, buzz about the Mars Orbiter Mission trails after IPL and the World Cup. Predictably, Malaysia Airlines was ahead of the summer conflict in Gaza, but both stories were at the bottom of the list.
This week, TV was swept by enormous stories like the massacre in Kokrajhar, which left little space for anything else. Yesterday, however, a few channels were able to step away from the excitement over the questioning of Bikram Singh Majithia by the Enforcement Directorate.
For instance, News 24 marked Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s 90th birthday with a rather good documentary chronicling events in the course of his journey “from the sangh to the PMO”. It included an interview with close aide BC Khanduri, who has been erased from the public space by BJP 2.0. India TV trumped the competition with footage from a long-ago Holi at Vajpayee’s residence, in which he is seen holding hands with Narendra Modi and dancing to a lusty rendering of Rang Barse. While it was no doubt intended to establish the proximity of the two men, at a time when commentators are pointing out what the elder statesman of the BJP would have done differently, it unwittingly recalled an incident in which Modi had rejected Muslim headgear. In this video, while Vajpayee is in a Rajasthani turban, Modi sports a cap of the sort that is favoured by qawwals.
Barring such sparks, it’s more interesting to see the year in perspective through the eyes of the internet rather than TV, where nothing ever seems to change. Arnab Goswami celebrated Christmas Eve by yelling at “all the other channels who messed up on the Jammu and Kashmir numbers”. Viewers deserve accuracy, he complained, “not numbers put out in a frenetic rush in the studio”. That sounds so much like the atmospherics of Newshour, which is being billed in promos as “a debate based on a sense of belief in what is right.” In regular English, that means religion and morality. These great human obsessions rarely leave room for debate.
